समस्तीपुर। बिहार की सियासत में हसनपुर विधानसभा इस बार सबसे ज्यादा सुर्खियों में है। रोसड़ा अनुमंडल के अंतर्गत आने वाला यह इलाका खगड़िया लोकसभा क्षेत्र का हिस्सा है, जबकि कुछ पंचायतें समस्तीपुर लोकसभा से भी जुड़ी हैं। हसनपुर 1967 में विधानसभा क्षेत्र बना, लेकिन इसकी असली पहचान समाजवादी नेता गजेंद्र प्रसाद हिमांशु और बाद में लालू प्रसाद यादव के बड़े बेटे तेज प्रताप यादव की वजह से बनी।तेज प्रताप की राजनीति और पतन,2015 में महुआ से विधायक बनने वाले तेज प्रताप यादव 2020 में सीट बदलकर हसनपुर पहुंचे। यादव बहुल क्षेत्र होने की वजह से यह सीट उनके लिए सुरक्षित मानी गई और उन्होंने 21,139 वोटों से जीत दर्ज की। लेकिन उनकी सक्रियता बेहद निराशाजनक रही—पांच वर्षों में वे शायद ही अपने क्षेत्र में नजर आए। नतीजतन, जनता में निराशा बढ़ी और पार्टी नेतृत्व भी असहज हो गया। अंततः मई 2025 में राजद ने तेज प्रताप को पार्टी और परिवार की छवि को नुकसान पहुँचाने के आरोप में छह साल के लिए निलंबित कर दिया।

हसनपुर का राजनीतिक इतिहास

हसनपुर को कभी समाजवादी नेता गजेंद्र प्रसाद हिमांशु का गढ़ माना जाता था। उन्होंने यहां से नौ में से सात बार जीत हासिल की। ईमानदारी और सिद्धांतों के लिए उन्हें हमेशा सम्मान मिला। 2000 के बाद से यह सीट राजद और जदयू के बीच सीधी टक्कर का केंद्र रही है, दोनों ने तीन-तीन बार जीत दर्ज की है। 2024 के लोकसभा चुनाव में एनडीए गठबंधन के तहत चुनाव लड़ रही लोजपा (रामविलास) ने यहां 17,954 वोटों की बढ़त दर्ज कर राजद को चेतावनी दे दी थी।
