Muzaffarpur, Bihar:Prime Minister Narendra Modi addressed an election rally in Muzaffarpur on Thursday (October 30, 2025). The tone was fiery, the crowd enthusiastic, but for many in Bihar, the message was the same old tune — faith over development, emotion over economy.PM Modi began by invoking Chhathi Maiya, saying, “Your son is taking the glory of Chhathi Maiya across the world, while the RJD and Congress are insulting her.” He questioned, “Can anyone insult Chhathi Maiya just to get votes?”But beyond the slogans and faith appeals, one thing was missing — talk of development. It’s been 11 years of Modi’s government at the Centre and 20 years of NDA rule in Bihar. Yet, people ask: Where are the factories? Where are the jobs? Where is the new Bihar we were promised?Instead, what they got was yet another round of speeches filled with religious symbolism — Chhathi Maiya, Sita Mata, temples, and old attacks on “Jungle Raj” and Lalu Yadav.A local youth said, “We thought the Prime Minister would announce something big — a factory, an industry, or a jobs scheme. But it was again the same talk about faith and the opposition.”Meanwhile, in Lakhisarai, Home Minister Amit Shah launched a sharp attack on Rahul Gandhi, claiming, “Rahul Baba insulted Chhathi Maiya while trying to insult PM Modi. On November 14, when the boxes open, the Mahagathbandhan will be wiped out.”Yet, the ground reality in Bihar is hard to ignore. People are tired of emotional politics. They want employment, education, and industry, not just invocations of religion and reminders of decades-old politics.Faith and tradition are Bihar’s pride — but it’s time the stage also echoed with a new slogan:
“Hail the Development of Bihar!”
