Patna/Mokama | October 30, 2025:Bihar’s political battleground turned bloody on Thursday as Dularchand Yadav, a staunch supporter of the Jan Suraj Party, was shot dead in Mokama. What began as a minor confrontation between two rival political convoys soon spiraled into chaos — and now, Bihar’s election heat has turned into a storm of accusations, outrage, and blame games.
Clash Between Convoys Turns Fatal
According to local sources, supporters of Jan Suraj Party and Anant Singh came face-to-face near Mokama. Heated arguments quickly escalated into violent clashes — sticks were raised, gunfire broke out, and panic gripped the area.
In the mayhem, Dularchand Yadav was fatally shot.
Police officials have so far termed the incident as a “death under suspicious circumstances,” though evidence from CCTV footage and eyewitnesses is now being reviewed to determine exactly what went down.
Family’s Charge — “It Was a Planned Political Murder”
The slain leader’s grandson, Neeraj Kumar, made a direct accusation:My grandfather was shot by Karmveer and Rajveer, under orders from Anant Singh. It was a pre-planned murder. Anant Singh always carries weapons — yet no one checks his vehicle.”
The family has refused to perform last rites until arrests are made.
Tejashwi Yadav’s Attack — “How Are Guns Roaming Free Under the Code of Conduct?”
Leader of the Opposition Tejashwi Yadav condemned the killing, questioning the administration’s silence:
How can armed convoys roam freely when the Model Code of Conduct is in place? First, an ASI was killed in Siwan, now a Jan Suraj worker in Mokama — what has Bihar turned into?”
He accused the ruling alliance of nurturing musclemen and letting them dictate terms in the election field.
Jan Suraj Party Calls It an ‘Attack on Democracy’
Party president Manoj Bharti declared the killing a deliberate attempt to silence dissent:Those who shout about Jungle Raj are the ones funding it today. This is not just a murder — it’s a blow to democracy.”
Anant Singh Hits Back — “RJD Candidate’s Husband Behind the Attack”
Meanwhile, former MP Anant Singh, facing mounting accusations, dismissed the charges and hit back:
When I was campaigning, my convoy was attacked. RJD candidate’s husband, Surajbhan Singh, is behind the violence.”
Mokama on Edge Ahead of November 6 Polls
With polling scheduled for November 6, the murder has shaken Bihar’s already tense political atmosphere. As rival camps trade blame, the killing of a local grassroots worker has once again exposed the deep nexus between crime, power, and politics in the state.
