Patna | Political Bureau ReportAs the Bihar Assembly election battle heats up, the state’s political skies have literally turned stormy.
The ‘Motha cyclone’ has disrupted flight schedules, drenched campaign venues, and forced top leaders to rethink their strategies.
On Friday, Chief Minister Nitish Kumar — who was slated to address six election rallies across Samastipur, Darbhanga, and Madhubani  found his chopper grounded due to bad weather.
But rather than letting the rain dampen his campaign spirit, the veteran leader decided to hit the road instead.

“If the skies won’t allow, we’ll take the roads,” says Nitish camp

With visibility dropping and winds lashing the region, Nitish Kumar swiftly switched plans.
Abandoning the helicopter route, he set out by road to connect with voters face-to-face.Accompanying him was JD(U)’s national working president Sanjay Jha, as both leaders led a convoy through flood-hit stretches to ensure the campaign didn’t lose momentum.
Several road shows and street interactions have been planned along the way to cover the constituencies originally meant for aerial rallies.

Sanjay Jha: “The CM believes the campaign must never stop”

Speaking to the media, Sanjay Jha said:Yes, the weather is harsh, but Nitish Kumar is determined that the campaign should not be interrupted.Connecting with people  rain or shine — is his top priority.”He added that the Chief Minister’s continuous outreach is a direct answer to critics questioning his energy and involvement in this election.

Rest stop in Araria, next phase tomorrow

After completing the day’s road outreach, Nitish Kumar is expected to rest tonight at Sanjay Jha’s residence in Sangram, Araria.
His next round of campaign events is scheduled for tomorrow, weather permitting.

The road becomes the new campaign runway

With the skies refusing to clear up, Bihar’s campaign battleground has shifted to the highways.
While the storm may have grounded helicopters, it has not grounded the political determination of Bihar’s leaders — especially Nitish Kumar, who seems intent on proving that no weather can cloud his election push.
In short: The cyclone may have stopped his flight,
but Nitish Kumar’s campaign still refuses to lose altitude.
