Bihar’s Mokama murder case has taken a dramatic turn after the postmortem report of Jan Suraj Party supporter Dularchand Yadav surfaced, revealing that his death was not caused by a bullet, but by a lung rupture and cardiac arrest. The report states that Dularchand’s ribs were fractured and his lungs were crushed, suggesting that he was pushed or hit by a heavy object from behind, causing severe internal injuries that led to his death. The report has been handed over to the investigating officer (IO).
According to sources, a team of three doctors conducted the postmortem and confirmed the findings. Meanwhile, the Election Commission has demanded a full report from the DGP regarding the incident. The technical investigation team has analyzed nearly 100 viral videos linked to the case, but none showed the presence of JD(U) candidate Anant Singh. However, one clip reportedly shows his nephew Rajveer Singh at the scene. Police have so far arrested three of Anant Singh’s supporters in connection with the violence.
Investigators have also discovered that the stones used during the clash were not local, but boulder-like rocks transported from outside the area—indicating a level of premeditation. Under the supervision of the Rural SP, a special team is examining every angle of the case.A day after Dularchand’s death, police filed three FIRs and arrested two people. One FIR, based on the complaint of the victim’s grandson, directly names Anant Singh and four others. The murder occurred on Thursday, when Dularchand was campaigning for Jan Suraj candidate Piyush Priyadarshi. The incident has since escalated into a full-blown political storm ahead of the Bihar Assembly elections.
