Patna — The high-voltage campaign for Bihar Assembly Election 2025’s first phase ends today (Tuesday). As the evening deadline hits, loudspeakers will fall silent and roads will cool after weeks of political frenzy. Candidates now have barely 24 hours left for door-to-door outreach and last-minute voter persuasion before the ballot battle begins.

Both NDA and the Mahagathbandhan have lined up multiple rallies and roadshows across key districts, making their final push to sway the undecided voter.

121 Seats, 18 Districts, One Big Test

The first phase of polling will be held on November 6 across 121 constituencies in 18 districts — 102 general and 19 reserved for Scheduled Castes. As many as 3.75 crore voters will decide the fate of 1,314 candidates, whose destiny will be sealed in EVMs by the end of the day.

Over 45,000 Polling Booths Ready

A total of 45,341 polling booths have been set up statewide — 36,733 in rural areas and 8,608 in urban zones. Notably, 926 booths will be run entirely by women, while 107 will be managed by persons with disabilities. The Election Commission has also designated 320 model polling stations to enhance the voting experience.

Voter Demographics

The first phase includes 1.98 crore male, 1.76 crore female, and 758 third-gender voters — all set to shape the next political chapter of Bihar.

Security & Supervision Tightened

To ensure smooth voting, the Election Commission has deployed 121 general observers, 18 police observers, and 33 expenditure observers. The second phase of polling will take place on November 11, while results will be declared on November 14.

 Sharp Take:

The campaign curtain falls, but the real test begins now. With passions running high and stakes even higher, Bihar’s ballot box will judge more than candidates — it will measure credibility, connection, and conviction.
