Once again proving that he stands firmly behind talent within the force, Samastipur Superintendent of Police Arvind Pratap Singh honored Bihar Police constable Rajan Kumar, who clinched a silver medal at the Professional National Boxing Championship held in Gurugram, Haryana.

Speaking on the occasion, SP Arvind Pratap Singh praised the young boxer and said,
“Rajan Kumar has lifted the pride of Samastipur Police and the entire Bihar Police. Dedicated and disciplined officers like him are the true strength of our force.”

Rajan Kumar, a native of Nayachak Makhna in Bhagalpur district and son of Dhuri Yadav, is currently posted with the Samastipur district police. He dedicated his achievement to his parents and his coach, calling them his biggest motivation.

A Stunning Run to the Finals: Four States Defeated One After Another

Rajan’s performance in the boxing ring left spectators and officials equally impressed. His journey to the final was nothing short of remarkable:

Defeated Arunachal Pradesh 5–0 in the first bout

Overpowered Odisha 5–0 in the second

Beat host team Haryana 3–2 in a thrilling contest

Outclassed Maharashtra 4–1 to enter the finals

After an intense final bout, he secured the silver medal, a victory that sparked joy across the entire district police force.
Due to the Model Code of Conduct during elections, the felicitation ceremony had been delayed. However, as soon as the election period ended, SP Arvind Pratap Singh personally stepped forward to honor the young champion — reflecting his commitment to encouraging excellence within the police ranks.
